ICH is conducting an implementation evaluation of the CenteringPregnancy (CP) model of group prenatal care in clinical settings across the US. ICH is working with the CenteringHealthcare Institute (CHI) to build understanding of the implementation of the CP model using the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (CFIR). ICH’s evaluation seeks to identify the critical core elements of the program to support program scalability, replication, and sustainability. This includes assessing fidelity to the model and adaptations to meet the needs of different settings, healthcare systems, and communities. ICH is utilizing a participatory, mixed methods approach to evaluate the CP model. Data collection methods will include surveys with accredited and non-accredited sites, and qualitative interviews with program staff and key stakeholders. The results from the evaluation will be shared with CHI to support the expansion and scaling of the Centering Pregnancy model, adapting to the varied settings and needs of different patient populations.
