Denice Villar

Research Associate

Denice Villar (she/they) is a Research Associate at the Institute for Community Health. At ICH, Denice supports research and evaluation projects ranging in focus of substance use disorders, equitable access to mental health and health care services, as well as destigmatizing the need for services within marginalized communities.
Denice received a BS in Sociology with a minor in Computer Science from Salem State University. She additionally holds a NABITA (National Association for Behavioral Intervention and Threat Assessment) certificate in Non-Clinical Assessment and Management of Suicidal Ideation. During her free time, she loves reading, exploring art museums, and indulging in cozy hobbies.
